At the beginning of October 2003, Carol and I spent a long weekend in Barcelona. Loved it! The architecture is lovely, and there are examples of Antoni Gaudi all over the place - and especially at the incredible Temple de la Sagrada Familia. We had a good central hotel, and the weather pretty clement. Highspots were:  rambling down the Ramblas; traveling around in an open-topped bus; some good food (and lousy service!); the hill at Mountjuic: wandering around the harbour; and of course THAT temple...!!
